1. About CDM Inspections

Coastal Drone Marine Inspections, LLC, doing business as CDM Inspections, provides marine and waterfront visual inspection services in the Florida Panhandle. Services may include boat hull inspections, dock and piling inspections, seawall inspections, storm-damage assessments, and search and recovery services.

2. Scope of Services

Inspection services are visual and observational in nature unless a written service agreement or quote states otherwise. Typical inspection activities may include:

  • Boat hull visual inspection for visible damage, cracks, gouges, blisters, corrosion, marine growth, and other observable conditions.
  • Dock and piling inspection for visible marine growth, fouling, cracks, splits, deterioration, and other observable conditions.
  • Seawall inspection for visible cracks, displacement, deterioration, exposed or visible hardware, and related observable conditions.
  • Post-storm or hurricane damage assessment of waterfront structures, vessels, marinas, and marine infrastructure.
  • Search and recovery services conducted on a reasonable-efforts basis, without a guarantee that a requested item will be located or recovered.

3. Visual Inspection Limitations

CDM Inspections does not represent that a visual inspection will identify every defect, hazard, deficiency, hidden condition, buried condition, inaccessible condition, or condition that is not visible at the time of inspection. Water clarity, depth, lighting, marine growth, currents, access restrictions, weather, equipment limitations, and site conditions may affect the scope and quality of observations.

4. Weather, Access, Visibility, and Safety

CDM Inspections may delay, reschedule, modify, suspend, or cancel an inspection when conditions are unsafe or unsuitable, including severe weather, unsafe water conditions, poor visibility, equipment-safety concerns, or restricted site access. Safety decisions remain within CDM Inspections’ reasonable discretion.

5. Website Requests Are Not Confirmed Appointments

Submitting a request through the website does not automatically create or confirm an appointment. After a website request is received, CDM Inspections will contact the customer to review the request and establish the appointment, scope, availability, and price.

6. Pricing and Quotes

Pricing may vary based on project scope, vessel or facility size, reporting requirements, travel, access, site conditions, and other project-specific factors. A quote or service agreement may contain additional project-specific terms.

7. Customer Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate contact and service-location information.
  • Provide lawful and timely access to the vessel, dock, seawall, marina, property, or other inspection location.
  • Disclose known hazards, access restrictions, security requirements, or other conditions that could affect the inspection.
  • Ensure that the customer has authority to request the inspection or search and recovery service.
  • Provide requested information needed to define the scope of work.

8. Inspection Reports

When a report is included in the service, CDM Inspections provides the report electronically after the inspection service is completed. The report reflects observable conditions at the time of inspection and within the scope actually performed.

Unless otherwise stated in writing, the report should not be treated as a guarantee of future condition or as a substitute for engineering, legal, surveying, structural, mechanical, insurance, or other professional services outside the agreed inspection scope.

9. Payments and Stripe

CDM Inspections currently uses Stripe as its payment processor. Payment transactions may therefore be subject to Stripe’s own terms, privacy practices, fraud controls, and processing rules. CDM Inspections does not control Stripe’s independent systems or processing timelines.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate billing information and for any charges properly authorized for the services requested. CDM Inspections may issue invoices or payment requests using clear business and service descriptions.

10. Cancellation, Rescheduling, and No-Shows

  • Customers should provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
  • A cancellation made after the 24-hour cutoff may be subject to a fee of $100 or 25% of the quoted service amount, as applicable to the appointment.
  • A no-show may be charged 50% of the quoted service amount.
  • If the customer fails to provide access after travel, setup, or arrival, fees may apply and amounts already paid may be non-refundable as described in the Refund Policy.
  • CDM Inspections may reschedule or cancel for unsafe weather, water conditions, visibility limitations, equipment safety, equipment failure, or other conditions affecting safe performance.

11. Refunds and Service Credits

Refunds and service credits are governed by the CDM Inspections Refund Policy. Refund requests should be submitted within 7 days of the inspection or canceled appointment. Approved refunds are generally processed within 5 to 10 business days, although actual posting time may depend on Stripe, the customer’s bank, card issuer, or payment method.

12. Search and Recovery Services

Search and recovery services are provided on a reasonable-efforts basis. Payment is for the time, equipment, travel, expertise, and services performed, not for a guaranteed recovery result. Failure to locate or recover a requested item, by itself, does not make a completed search and recovery service refundable.

13. Website Information

The website may collect information such as name, phone number, email address, preferred contact method, type of service, service location, and vessel length in order to respond to service requests. Use of personal information is addressed in the Privacy Policy.

14. Third-Party Services

CDM Inspections may use third-party providers to support website hosting, communications, payments, and other business functions. Stripe is the current payment processor. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies.

15. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, website content, branding, graphics, text, and original materials created by CDM Inspections are owned by or licensed to CDM Inspections and may not be copied or republished for commercial use without permission.

16. Limitation of Inspection Scope and Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CDM Inspections is responsible only for services within the agreed scope and does not guarantee that all defects, risks, damage, or underwater conditions will be identified. Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive rights or liabilities that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

17. Changes to These Terms

CDM Inspections may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in services, technology, payment processing, or business practices. The version posted on the website should identify its effective date.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of the State of Florida. The specific venue or governing county should be confirmed by the business and legal counsel before publication.
