1. Standard Notice Requirement

Customers should provide at least 24 hours’ notice when canceling or rescheduling a scheduled service.

2. Late Cancellation

If a customer cancels after the 24-hour notice cutoff, CDM Inspections may charge a late-cancellation fee of $100 or 25% of the quoted service amount, as applicable to the appointment.

3. Rescheduling

CDM Inspections will make reasonable efforts to reschedule an appointment when sufficient notice is provided or when conditions outside either party’s reasonable control prevent the service from proceeding. Availability is not guaranteed for any particular replacement date or time.

4. No-Shows

If a customer does not appear, cannot be reached, or does not provide the required access at the scheduled time, the appointment may be treated as a no-show. A no-show may be charged 50% of the quoted service amount.

5. Access, Travel, and Setup

The customer is responsible for ensuring lawful and timely access to the property, vessel, dock, seawall, marina, or other inspection location. If access is unavailable after CDM Inspections has traveled to the location or begun setup, the appointment may be canceled and fees or non-refundable amounts may apply.

6. Weather, Water Conditions, Visibility, and Safety

CDM Inspections may delay, reschedule, modify, suspend, or cancel a service when unsafe weather, unsafe water conditions, poor visibility, currents, equipment-safety concerns, restricted access, or other conditions make performance unsafe or impractical. Safety-related decisions remain within CDM Inspections’ reasonable discretion.

7. Cancellation by CDM Inspections

If CDM Inspections cancels a service and cannot reasonably reschedule it, the customer may be eligible for a full refund of amounts paid for the unperformed service.

8. Equipment Failure

If equipment failure prevents the service from beginning, CDM Inspections may reschedule the service or issue a refund where appropriate. If equipment failure occurs after a substantial portion of the service has been completed, a partial refund or service credit may be considered based on the work already performed.

9. Conditions Changing During an Inspection

If weather, visibility, water, safety, or mechanical conditions materially change after the service begins, CDM Inspections may stop the service. Depending on the amount of work already performed, the parties may reschedule the remaining work or CDM Inspections may consider a partial refund or service credit.

10. Customer Request to Stop Work

If the customer asks CDM Inspections to stop after the inspection or service has begun, payment for work already performed, travel, setup, and equipment use may remain due. Any partial refund or service credit will be determined reasonably based on the circumstances.

11. Search and Recovery Appointments

Search and recovery appointments may be rescheduled or stopped for the same weather, visibility, safety, access, and equipment considerations that apply to inspections. A search and recovery service does not guarantee that an item will be located or recovered.

12. Scope Changes

If the customer requests a material change in location, vessel, service type, inspection scope, or reporting requirements, CDM Inspections may need to revise the quote or appointment schedule before proceeding.

13. Payments and Refunds

CDM Inspections currently uses Stripe for payment processing. Refunds associated with cancellations will be handled under the CDM Inspections Refund Policy. Approved Stripe refunds are generally returned to the original payment method, subject to Stripe and financial-institution processing times.

14. How to Cancel or Reschedule

Customers may contact CDM Inspections by email at Cdm.inspections@gmail.com, by phone at 850-966-0978, or through the website at https://cdm-inspections.com/. Customers should provide their name, appointment date, service location, and the requested change.

15. Relationship to Other Terms

This Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy should be read together with the Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy. If a signed service agreement contains project-specific cancellation terms, those specific written terms may apply to that engagement.
