Seawall Inspections

A seawall is your property’s primary defense against shoreline erosion and tidal surges, but the most critical structural failures happen completely out of sight under the water. Our Seawall Inspection service gives residential homeowners, HOA boards, commercial property managers, and municipalities a clear, high-definition look at what is happening beneath the waterline. By deploying our advanced underwater drones, we can safely and thoroughly evaluate your wall’s underwater stability without the safety risks or high costs of putting human divers in hazardous environments.

Our underwater inspection focuses on the visible exterior faces of your seawall panels and sheet piling. We guide the ROV along the wall to check for structural cracking, panel displacement, concrete spalling, and severe corrosion on steel sheet pilings. Crucially, we inspect the “toe” at the base of the wall to evaluate scour and erosion, searching for voids, washouts, or underwater sinkholes where soil might be actively escaping from behind the wall. We also inspect adjacent riprap or protective structures to ensure your shoreline defense is uniform and secure.

When we finish, you receive a comprehensive report packet containing an executive summary of our findings, prioritized breakdowns of observed deficiencies, and a full library of high-resolution underwater photos and HD video clips. This documentation is invaluable for early leak detection, allowing you to address minor structural flaws before they turn into catastrophic, multi-thousand-dollar wall collapses.

  • Pricing: Residential Seawall Inspections start at $400 (covering up to 100 linear feet of wall). Large residential properties start at $600–$900, while commercial and HOA seawalls start at $1,000+ based on wall length and complexity.
  • When to Call: Schedule an inspection immediately after hurricanes or severe flooding, if you notice localized sinkholes or soil settlement forming on the land near the seawall cap, prior to a property transaction, or every 1 to 3 years as standard preventative maintenance.
  • Please Note: Buried structural components cannot be visually inspected. This visual assessment is designed for monitoring and repair planning and does not replace a licensed structural engineering review.
